What is the goal and vision of IMPOK
Cooperative?
IMPOK is bonding of all OFWs in the
Middle East to help and assist each other
in times of adversity. The cooperative is
set to ensure that all will have a business
of their own enough to sustain their
families and in the end could also help
them start building their own homes and
making their dreams a reality soon.
Who are qualified to be members of
IMPOK Cooperative?
Any natural person who is a citizen of the
Philippines, of legal age and with the
capacity to contract and are presently
working in the Middle EastAny OFW who
possesses a common bond of
association;Resides or works in the
Middle East legally or illegally;Voluntarily
accepts and complies with the
prescribed Membership Fees and
Requirements;Anyone who wants to
make use of the services of the
cooperative more particularly the
livelihood and loans services and other
allied services relative thereto.
How do I become a member of IMPOK
Cooperative?
Since IMPOK is on its initial stage, we are
encouraging possible members to join
now so you will be classified as Pioneer
Member! (Please note that Pioneer
members will have exclusive services and
privileges that will not be open and
available to regular members in the
future).If you are qualified to be a member
and you are interested to be part of the
IMPOK Cooperative you have to:Contact
us by phone, by email or by fax so we can
send you your form to be filled up and
submitted to us together with 2x2 picture
for your future identification and member
forms.Register your name and pay the
initial fees
member?
Every member will have the following duties
and responsibilities:
- Pay the membership fee as your
pledged capital in order to participate
in the capital build-up.
- Patronize the business of the
cooperative
- Participate in the parliamentary
affairs of the Cooperative
- Obey the rules and regulations of the
Cooperative and know and follow the
by-laws of IMPOK, the decisions of
the General Assembly, the Board of
Directors, and policies and
decisions that may be promulgated
by the Cooperative Development
Authority
- Promote the aims and purposes of
the cooperative, the success of its
business, the welfare of its
members and the cooperative
movement as a whole.
Every member in Good Standing will also be
given the following rights:
- Participate in the deliberations
during membership meetings
- Vote on all matters brought before
the assembly
- Seek any elective position, subject to
the provisions on qualifications as
provided in the By-Laws
- Receive interest on his/her deposits
and share capital in the cooperative,
and patronage refunds, if any
- Inspect and examine the books of
accounts, the share register and
other records of the cooperative
(subject to certain limitations) during
office hours and to exercise other
rights and privileges of membership.

Are we limited to only one member per
family?
NO. Any members of the family who are
active OFWs in the Middle East are eligible
for membership as Primary Member. And
every Primary Member is entitled to enlist
up to 3 family members as Supplemental
Member. A supplemental member shall
enjoy the rights and privileges of a primary
member even if they are not OFWs.
Is one member entitled to only one
share in the cooperative?
A member must first pay the initial
membership fee and the first annual
dues to be able to entitle him to enjoy the
privileges of being a member. The
membership fee comprises the basic
share capital of every member. And
members can apply up to 5 shares
maximum.

YES for some privileges. Except for the
Cooperative Housing Loan that will ONLY
be granted to the member. The livelihood
and financing assistance can be enjoyed
or used by direct family member (parent,
spouse or child)
When does one applicant for
membership for IMPOK Cooperative
acquire his rights as a member?
After full payment of the FIRST annual
dues, any member then becomes
eligible to any and all privileges and
rights of being a member. Except for the
Cooperative Housing Loan, this service
will ONLY be available after completing
payment of two annual dues and this
service is ONLY for PIONEER members
only (first 500 members become
PIONEER members)
How will the IMPOK Cooperative be
funded and where will it get its financial
resources for their projects?
The sources of funding are:
the members share capital and annual
dues collection loans or borrowings
against the deposits of the cooperative
donations, grants aids and other
assistance the Board of Directors can
acquire from both local and foreign
institutions that could help the
Cooperative implement its projects and
services.
Can a member terminate his
membership?
Membership in the Cooperative may be
terminated voluntarily or involuntarily. Any
member who wishes to terminate his
membership must just do so by giving
60-days notice to the Board of Directors.
Can the Cooperative terminate a
member?
YES. The Board of Director after due
investigation is given can terminate any
member who have not been contributing
to the Cooperative and or have done
severe or malicious damage to the
Cooperative that may be detrimental to
the Cooperatives interest or welfare
IMPOK Cooperative is in infancy stage
so we encourage Pioneer Members to
enjoy ALL benefits of the Cooperative. An
interested applicant just have to pay the
initial one-time membership fee of $100
and upon verification, a member
applicant will then be approved by the
Accepting Committee and will be issued
their identification card and the
Insurance benefit form either by mail or
email.
